Congratulations go out to the senior boy’s volleyball team who clinched a birth in the AAA finals against Weston. The boy’s played a sound game against Mawat to reach the finals. Scores at the end were 25 – 15, 25 – 23, 25 – 15. Game on Wednesday is at 12 Noon at Humber College.

Basketball intramural is cancelled today and will resume on Thursday.

Danforth Hawks Varsity Football Team plays in the championship game today at 1:00 pm at Birchmount Stadium vs Downsview. The players will be dismissed at 10:45 for an 11:30 departure. Team members please meet at Y2. Go hawks Go.

The varsity hawks team had a victory in overtime over Eastern Commerce/ Monarch Park yesterday at Birchmount Stadium. The hawks fought hard and battled back from a 3 – 0 deficit to win 10 – 3 in shoot out, outstanding game by all players. Thanks to all those who contributed to this wonderful season. Finals are next Tuesday vs. Downsview C.I.

On Saturday the senior boys’ volleyball team played in the Stratford St. Michael’s Invitational. The boys played excellent ball disposing of many top rated teams but losing a tough FINAL to Dr. G.W. Williams, 25 – 23 and 25 – 23. Outstanding play by all team members.

Good luck to the junior + senior boys’ volleyball teams who continue their hunt today for the south region title. Both teams host Riverdale here today with the junior game beginning at 3:00 pm followed by the senior game. Come out and support your “Red Hawks”

Hello table tennis lovers. Practice tomorrow night after school. Although the league is months away, we need to train now to be ready for Riverdale.

Are you interested in supporting queers and transsexual youths? The annual conference “Unity” is being held on Nov. 17^th. This all day conference involves a number of topics encompassing the theme of role playing. Roles played in school, community and families will be explored. If you are interested in attending, please come by guidance and speak to Ms. Maestri. There are limited spaces so come get the permission form ASAP.
