Basketball News! The Juniors played an amazing game - they were always ahead and beat Monarch park 53-33. The Seniors played the first place Monarch team. The lead changed hands several times but Danforth beat them 65- 59. Go Hawks.
3.
Dance Underground is starting again. If you love to dance and want to perform in our May showcase come down to Tuesdays and Thursday at 11:45 in the dance studio A19.
4.
Did you know that Olympic Level table tennis players can read faster than a samese cat in a bathtub. Practice tonight team in the dungeon. The League starts in 2 months. Big mac Tony and Charlie Low report to C14 @ 11:30 AM sharp.

Attention Girl's Hockey Team - There will be a brief but Important meeting at the start of lunch today in B40 to discuss a game next week.

Just a reminder to all students invited to the Civics/ History clinics that they are today, at lunch, in C43. See you then!

Have you ever wanted to stand in the middle of the Colosseum where gladiators fought incredible battles, or toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, see Michel-Angelo's famous "Statue of David", or visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, where Galileo was said to have developed his laws of gravity?? If so, you are in luck! during the March Break of 2012, you will have the opportunity to travel to Italy and Spain and visit these incredible historic sites. For more information, please attend the lunch-time meeting on Wednesday, January 26th in room A15.

Today is the last day to submit an application for Night School. If you need to pick up an extra credit to graduate, please see your guidance counsellor. Night school begins the week of Feb 7.

Bring your instruments to the woodshop tomorrow to jam. Get sign out sheets from Mr. Gladstone in A47.

All students who applied to night school, please see Ms. Zagar in guidance to pick up your white receipt needed for the first day of class.

Today is the last day to submit night school applications. Night school begins Feb 7.

Champions league Indoor soccer on Tuesday, Barcelona defeated Inter Milan 3-1. Today Real Madrid takes on Mancester United – in the north gym.

Announcements for Wednesday, January 19, 2011

1.

To all students who applied to night school, please see Ms. Zagar, in guidance to pick up your white receipt needed for first day of class.

2.
There will be a practice for the Jr and Sr boys basketball teams after school in the north gym.
Reminder to boys hockey, we have a game Thursday at George Bell. Game starts at 3:30. You are dismissed at 2:00pm.

3.
Krumping begins this wednesday. Join the krumping team every Wednesday after school, and have some fun. Please remember to bring the signed authorization forms from your parents.
The form are available in the attendance office if you require them.

The Junior boys basketball team played an amazing game yesterday and won 71-55 against Northern. The juniors and The seniors play Monarch Park Thursday here at Danforth. Go Hawks Go!!

Cooking club meets at 3:00pm in B25 and A14 on Thursday.

Reminder to the Girls' Hockey Team that you have games Mon. and Wed. today's game is at 3:00. Dismissal is 1:40 at Ted Reeves against Harbord. Good luck girls!

Did you know that... Exhaust from traffic accounts for one-quarter of all carbon dioxide(CO2) emissions into the atmosphere? Car pollution will increase by 25% over the next few years.

Junior Boys Basketball team please come to the Library and pick up your permission forms for the February Basketball Tournament.

Just a reminder that there will be a Prom Committee meeting today at lunch, in C43. New members are welcome. See you there!

City Adult Learning(CALC), the Toronto District school board, and Centennial College have partnered to offer the Police Foundations Diploma Program. Successful completion of semester 1 at CALC leads to semester 2 at Centennial College. Students can begin with a minimum of 25 credits. The next program will being in February 2011. A Police Foundations information session will be held in Ed-Vance at CALC, on Wednesday, January 19 @ 2pm. City Adult Learning Centre is located at 1 Danforth Avenue, across from Broadway subway station. All are welcomed to attend. Boys basketball team played Riverdale yesterday and won 65-33. Juniors also played a hard game but lost 57-47. Juniors play central tech today. Seniors play western tech tomorrow.
